Steve was successful in the car business for many reasons. He's very good with people, money and keeping on track with his goals. But after 17 years of working long hours, he felt it was time for a career change. He wanted a career with flexibility. He wanted to work with people. And he wanted his personal life back.
He began his research on the internet. A home-based business was the model he was seeking. He had already been familiar with the franchise concept, and understood the benefits of being a franchise owner. His search led him to a franchise regional developer opportunity. The challenge intrigued him. As a results-oriented person, taking a region and growing it into a profitable investment was a great use of his skills. Another aspect of being a Regional Developer he liked was the ability to grow his people as well. The more successful they were, the more successful he'd become as well.
"There's nothing more gratifying to me than helping someone achieve the success that they've always dreamed about while becoming better at the same time. First you learn it, and then you do it. But when you teach it is when you really have to know it."
